Quotes from my Readings [on thoughts and change]

Looking through my notes this morning, I found a page I called ‘Quotable Quotes’ from back in the day when I initially developed an interest in reading books. Below are a few of them that may be relevant to you.

About Thinking Thoughts-

Find a place to think your thoughts. If you hang bird cages in your mind, you will always find something to put in them. When you find a place to think your thoughts, your thoughts will find a place in you.

About Shaping Thoughts-

Find a place to shape your thoughts. Put your thoughts in writing. Learning to write is learning to think. You don’t know anything clearly unless you can state it in writing.

About Asking Questions-

Sometimes, the questions you ask are more important than the answers you receive.

About Original Thoughts-

Over 80 percent of the world go through life without ever having an original thought.

About Thinking-

Only when you make changes to your thinking do other things turn out right.

About Change-

People will never attain what they don’t see themselves doing.

  • Change is personal
  • Change is possible
  • Change is profitable

About Success-

The first and most important step towards success is the expectation that we can succeed.

About Change-

If change doesn’t feel uncomfortable, then it is probably not change.

About Progress-

Progress requires change. Going to a new level requires you to change your mind and way of thinking.

There were quite a number more. These were the most relevant.
